Rangefinder for £200!
The Motocaddy PRO3000 range finder is a great piece of kit at an extremely affordable price! Online they vary from £225 - £250. However, we have struck a deal with Motocaddy and have 6 in stock we can shift for £200. The crazy thing is, for the money it has a lot of features which are found in rangefinders that are a lot more expensive!
Personally, I use a Garmin watch and the rangefinder. At CMGC, we know the course well as we play it every week. Therefore having the convenience of the watch is perfect as you only need to know the rough yardage. However, the rangefinder earns its money from out of trees of finding targets e.g. how far to a bunker, how far do I need to punch it out!
The features the PRO3000 has that are found in premium models are the following.
- 5 - 1300 yards range; 450 yards to the flag
- Accurate to 0.5 yards
- 7X Magnification
- Hard Case
- Slope compensation - this is amazing - basically, it factors in the slope. E.g. the 6th of Badgers Sett is 150 yards downhill. The range finder factors the slope in to give an accurate yardage (134 when I tested it).
