What a week it has been here at CMGC, the course has continued to improve and we have had some fantastic comments from people playing CMGC. On Sunday alone we had over 300 members and visitors playing the course. I also did a bit of 'market research' this week ringing around some course and was shocked to hear the amount still on temporary greens! After speaking to greenkeepers Rob and Adam this week they believe that by this weekend nowhere will be better.

Texas AM results 
It has finally happened…. JUST. The formidable foursome of Gary Mann, Aaron Booton, Nigel Williams and Martin Bower have finally been beaten.
The usual team to beat recorded 99 points to be winning all the way through until the very last group. However they were foiled by the team of Andy Thomas, Graham Fletcher, Dean Rogers and Roger Evans who shot 100 points. When they handed in their card and I told them 99 was winning massive cheers erupted. Captain Andy Thomas admitted it was a great relief to get a team win. 'We all played our part today, the course was playing well and the putts dropped, we are delighted to win and hope to kick on during the summer season'.

Mixed Brunch 
The ever strong mixed section were out in force with 28 contesting the mixed brunch. The mixed section are a great bunch and always support the club extremely well. With 9 holes a quick full English followed by the remaining 9 holes it was a great social day. Jamie and Deborah Fearnley finished third, Gary and Sian Hawes second but the day belonged to Rob and Lyn Pinner who with 39 points took the eden shield and prize money. Everyone at CMGC knows Rob is a joker but in a serious victorious speech Rob paid tribute to his partner and wife Lyn who carried him the whole round. 'Lyn played brilliantly today and this victory is down to her'.
After the success of the brunch two additional competition signup sheets are in the ladies changing rooms.
Sunday April 20th and Sunday May 25th tee times from 10.30am £20 per couple including prizes and a 2 course Sunday dinner.

The demand for Phil Moore's intro lessons has been huge! The 20 spaces have already sold out, however after speaking to Phil and Titleist they are happy to extend it to an extra 10 bookings.

Lodge Development Update
Our a5 brochures have just been delivered and the marketing launch for the lodges is due to start very soon. Myself and Tom have been working very hard on the new website. As you drive down the CMGC drive you will have seen the builders landscaping the site. The interest in the site has massively increased and we are taking deposits on plots.
