Good day golfers and friends of CMGC! What a difference a week makes, from heavy rain to sunshine as I write this. Our taster membership has continued to flurry and a big welcome to: Sean, Luke, Anthony, Richard, Roger and Martin. If you see any of the new members out and about please give them a big CMGC welcome.
To start of this week we have some bad news….. CMGC is not having a Par 6 and we have not been testing a new putting aid by Jest Golf. The putting aid was literally a piece of astro turf stuck to Sam's shoes. You all were well and truly fooled, this has to go down as one of the best CMGC April fools ever. Some of you might not know that Tom is a digital media expert and very good on photo shop, the Bradbury Oak was edited out and the photos were staged!
With the Masters starting this week many of the brands have released what their players will be wearing. We can get outfits from Puma, Nike and adidas. As you can see below Sergio modelling his adidas wear for this week. The colour combinations are great for the Augusta sun.
Not to be outdone above is Dave's Masters scripting for the four days. Here you see his comfortable trousers and socks, a large warm hoody (in green to get into the master spirit), take away menu's (man's got to eat), American beer (so you feel like your there), an ipad to check his bets and of course a TV remote with sound bar control.
Master Predictions
We always like to look after you here at CMGC! Here are our Masters predictions to win you some extra cash!
Dave's Predictions
Winner- Rory Mcilroy - 5/1 - I just cannot see anyone beating Rory, he looks like an Olympic athlete with his preparation. Everything is in place for his gold medal.. the green jacket.
Each way - Ian Poulter - 50/1 - he may have left his clubs at home but Poulter loves Augusta a great chance to a top six.
Matt's Predictions
Winner - Tiger Woods 40/1 he Is Tiger Woods at the end of the day and you cannot bet against him.
Each Way - Jonas Blixt 150/1 finished 2nd last year is a great shout for an each way bet. A consistent performer on the US PGA Tour.
Tom's Predictions
Winner - Jimmy Walker- 23/ 1. A tied 8th finish last year could have been slightly better but for a poor third round. Already won twice this season he certainly knows what it takes to win a tournament.
Each Way - Brooks Koepka- 76/ 1. There is always a young American who seems to not get phased by the pressure of a Major Championship. A confident player and a friend of Mcilroy he could be worth an each way bet.
Sam's Predictions
Winner - Jordan Spieth- 10/1 - the form player on the tour, he can handle pressure and makes a lot of birdies, I cannot see him loosing!
Each way Paul Casey- 66/1 - Back finding form after a injury hit few years. Money to be made each way!
Amy's Predictions
Winner - Bubba Watson 10/1- Augusta suits his game and he generally always plays the course well, as well as being last years champion and earning his second green jacket in 3 years, he is my favourite to win.
Each way Rickie Fowler - 25/1 - After a great season for 2014, Fowler has the capability to shot some great rounds, with no pressure on him to win, he is a likely underdog candidate.

Men's Double Roll Up Results
The first summer competition of the season was played in far from summer conditions! Heavy rain in the week leading up to the weekend meant the ground was heavy and the ball not travelling as far as normal.
Stuart Humphries and Andy Young continued their great form and both carded 38 points. However that was only good enough for third and fourth place.
Jem Jones made a mockery of the tough conditions on the Saturday on his way to a huge 44 points. Jem commented that his wedge play with his Titleist Vokey's was the key to his great score. If he missed greens he was getting up and down. Jem now see's his handicap tumble and hoping for a busy season to see it reduced even more.
With a 44 points at the top of the leaderboard everyone thought they were playing for second place. However the last group out had other ideas, Mark Thompson recorded a huge 26 points front nine and 19 points back nine to finish on 45 and take the competition.
Final Standings
1st - Mark Thompson - 45 points
2nd - Jem Jones - 44 points
3rd - Stuart Humphries - 38 points (count back)
As this is a roll up all prizes can be collected from the golf centre.
