| Winter Coaching Packages Purchase by clicking here.
The 2020 golf season was once again a great success for many of my lesson clients... However, now we are heading into the winter it is time to get to work and get the next crop of golfers ready for the 2021 season. Below are 3 packages to suit all budgets... £200 - 4 x 45 minute studio sessions
- 4 x 45 minute on course sessions
- 1 x gapping session
- 2 dozen logo practice balls
Ideal scenario This is for the golfer looking to make serious strides going into 2021. All sessions would take place over November, December, January, February and March. A studio session would be followed by an on-course session to make sure the transition from studio to course was faultless. The gapping session would then take place at the end of March so you know how far your distance is per club for both carry distance and total distance.
£150 - 4 x 45 minute studio sessions
- 2 x 45 minute on course sessions
- 1 x gapping session
- 1 dozen logo practice balls
Ideal scenario After two studio sessions we would then go out onto the course to play two holes, this is vital to make sure the changes that have happened inside are taken onto the course. This would happen twice over November, December, January, February and March. The gapping session would then take place at the end of March so you know how far your distance is per club for both carry distance and total distance. £100
4 x 45 minute studio sessions 1 x gapping session Ideal scenario Use the 4 studio sessions over November, December, January, February and March to work on the swing and get it to a position we are happy with going into British summertime. The gapping session would then take place at the end of March so you know how far your distance is per club for both carry distance and total distance. |

The summer has gone!
With Autumn conditions well and truly here the lads on the course start to change their jobs. Blowing leaves is a thankless task. The irrigation system will be drained and antifreeze added to the pipes.
The grass growth is slowing down now so cutting every day becomes less. The height of cut will also be raised to make sure there is plenty of grass coverage going into the winter and not getting churned up!
Badgers Sett greens are also getting better and better. Golf buggies are now very hit and miss if you require one please call us on the morning to check if they are allowed on!

Course Planner and Scorecard Holder Heading into the winter it is advisable to have a plan of how you can plot around the course. Even though you have played CMGC hundreds of times try a course planner with accurate yardages to hazards and lay-up areas. You will be surprised how informative these can be especially with the slopes of the land also included.
We are doing a deal whereby you can get a course guide and scorecard holder for JUST £10.
Get planning!

Popular Pulled Pork
It has been great to see the bar and dining area so busy considering the new guidelines. The specials that have been served have almost sold out daily. Pork baps have been so popular that these will be on more often. Which do you prefer? Traditional Pork baps with all the trimmings or BBQ pulled pork. Plus a cheeky little side of fries just for good measure. |

The weekend's actions
Our Sunday competition ended up just 9 holes due to the weather. Max Horton thought he had it wrapped up with 23 points. However, the last player out of Julian Philips had other ideas and snuck in with 24 to win! Competitions will now be monitored closely to see if conditions will allow qualifiers or non-qualifiers. This weekend we have a Stableford on Saturday. Plus the first mixed winter league for the season on Sunday. If you would like to play on Sunday please let us know and we can pass your details onto organiser Jamie Fearnley.

An amazing effort for charity! The weather would not beat the Ian Dennis memorial day!
Nearly 100 played in very rainy conditions and on the day over £2000 was raised which is amazing considering the restrictions! Alan left this message on Facebook to thank everyone.
What a fantastic day at the Ian Dennis Memorial golf day at Cleobury Mortimer! The weather was awful, but what a superb result. It was a lot harder this year with social distancing etc. But as always you folk supported in numbers. An absolute privilege to arrange it again and this year for the Highley Miners football club. Without all of you, it wouldn't be possible. Thank you to all who donated and very importantly, to all the golfers!

Robert Rock runs despite the rain.
Despite the rain Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday morning we managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat and get the Robert Rock junior golf tour event on! 84 kids from around the Midlands took on the course and absolutely loved it!
Saturday afternoon we walked the course with tour organiser, Nat, and seriously considered cancelling.
Thankfully we all pulled together got extra staff in and cleared the course of standing water to get the event on. Feedback was amazing from everyone who played and the course stood up very well.
The greens and fairways were in fantastic condition. We had some great feedback as pictured to the left.

Golf's back on UK soil
When Sergio Garcia won The Masters in 2017, every headline was along the lines of ‘Finally!’. More than three years later, his win at the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship marks his first win since and prompted many similar headlines. Although, did you know both victories involved Sergio putting with his eyes shut at impact? On the European Tour, Tommy Fleetwood looked to cap the return of the big names at the Scottish Open, a Rolex Series event, with a victory. But fellow Englishman Aaron Rai upset the odds to beat Fleetwood in a playoff that saw Tommy miss from a couple of feet at the first playoff hole. Both storylines demonstrate the importance of putting well when the pressure's on. So, if you struggle with holing out or three-putt too many times due to poor distance control, send us a message below and we'll be happy to help.
