Off +1 handicap, the nett 67 was set early for everyone to seemingly aim for hopelessly. That score would stand and be the only under nett score of the day, meaning Jack would take home division 1 honours. Also, Chris Rigby had his fair say on the days scoring, shooting a level nett score to take home second place in division 1. Adam Winnall also had a great day posting a gross round of 77 being the only other player other than Jack to break 80 gross and he would take 3rd place on the day for division 1. In Division 2, the scoring also reflected the brutal conditions, Mike Wood going out early set the pace with a steady 4 over nett to set the clubhouse target, he would not hold on to that lead. It was enough to claim 3rd place, however. Roger Evans just pipped Mike to second place on countback for Division 2 with a solid back nine. The winner for Division 2 on the day was Adam Bloomer who shot an impressive one over nett to take first place. What makes Adam’s score even more impressive is he went out last in the competition playing in the tougher conditions as the wind picked up throughout the day. As this was an Aggregate competition is was combined with the earlier aggregate we had in the year and leading that was Jack Severn so he is showing his play in super impressive and consistent also to win the whole competition over the two days. Not bad considering he played the first aggregate of scratch and the second one of +1. Finally, we must note that Jack won the aggregate for last year as well, so he retains his title for a second year! |
