Hello one and all... what a week it has been at the club. We have so much to cover this week with results, merchandise and some new additions to the club. Enjoy this weeks read.
Please note due to the new governement guidelines of social gatherings up to 6 people, the next club committee meeting and AGM has been cancelled.
We also now have Sky TV back in the club just in time for the football season!

| Club Championships
The 2020 Club Championships certainly lived up to the hype. A full house on Saturday all contending for the most sought after trophy within the club. After day one the bookies favourite Jack Severn shot a gross 66 to take a commanding 6 shot lead into day two. The net was much tighter with Ben Francis, Rob Corbett, Louie Edwards, and to everyone's shock Paul Judge were all in contention trying to catch Harry King after his 66 net. Day two saw Andy Thomas, John Skelding, Tom Judge, Lewis Hodges all made a move however Harry had the round of his life! He shot a three-over gross net 59 to take the trophy by a landslide! Jack managed to keep Charlie Edwards at day with a level par 71 to take the gross.
A huge thank you to all who played and enjoyed the weekend.

| Pictured is Alan Preece | Alan comes out on top
Congratulations to Alan Preece who had 43 points in last weeks Stableford to take the top spot. Alan was first out and made a mockery of the windy conditions to take the top spot overall and a nice handicap cut!

Success over Surrey You may have seen myself (Dave) and Tom out playing CMGC a fair bit over the weekend. We had a team of CMGC members taking on some friends from Surrey in a little Ryder Cup format over the weekend. Thankfully we showed them who is boss and the trophy will be staying in the Midlands for another year! If you have any friends or mates, consider using CMGC its the perfect venue.

Just in time...
We now have Sky TV back at the club, perfect timing with the football just about to start up again. Liverpool take on Leeds at 5.30pm on Saturday with West Brom in action on Sunday against Leicester from 2.00pm.
We must stress that due to the new government guidelines that come into effect from Monday that we cannot allow groups of more than 6 people to gather together. The furniture has been arranged in such a way to allow you to enjoy the use of the clubhouse and outdoor areas whilst adhering to the rules so please do not rearrange or move furniture. |

DJ wins big How does a $15 million payday sound to you? For playing golf? Dustin Johnson finally achieved one of the few things missing from his CV on Monday evening when he stepped off the 18th green at East Lake GC. Sadly, there were no fans to cheer him on, but DJ won the TOUR Championship and, as a result, the season-long FedEx Cup - the PGA Tour's order of merit. If ever there was a deserving winner, it’s a man who finished the season T2-1-2-1; a run that started at the PGA Championship. Seeing DJ back to his best makes for beautiful viewing. If you’d like to give your playing partners some better viewing on the course, why not book in for a lesson with a member of the team? |
