Welcome to this week’s newsletter. The forecast is good and the sun is shining, we are literally loving life here at CMGC. We have some big days coming up and of course the Club Championships.
We have lowered the height of cut to just 2.5mm now and the greens are just amazing, very quick and of course true. If you are playing the course at the moment, enjoy, it is a pleasure to be out there. Book your tee times HERE. Sit back and enjoy this week’s read.

Golf with Emily Price
Last week we had the pleasure of playing 18 holes with Emily Price, fresh off the back of her great performance in Open Qualifying and many wins over the summer. We even managed to get her Dad Kelvin Price out playing. We have talked about how good she is and man she can play. Plenty of birdies and a lot of fun. Me and Tom manage to halve the round with her but she missed a 10-footer on the last for birdie which I think she did on purpose to make us feel better. |

Currently, 16 teams are entered and the times left for this are: AM - 8:00, 8.08, 8.16, 8.25, 8.40, 9, 9.30, 9.40, 9.50, 10, 10.10 PM - 12.25, 12.35, 1.10, 1.20, 1.30, 1.40 Please contact us HERE if you would like to play.

Tree work
As mentioned, the oak on 3rd of Deer Park came down in the wind. Leon and Wyre Land and Forestry Management were on hand to tidy it all up. Sadly, looking at the tree it is looking like it will have to all come down with the team looking to come at the end of the week. A big thanks to Leon and the team, they come highly recommended. Check them out here. |

Sunday Stableford
The Sunday Stableford threw in some surprises with low scoring winning. Was it because Badgers Sett was not one of the nines? |
In Division One, Mark Watson pipped Ash Cook on countback to take top spot with 37 points. Ash had 22 on Foxes but just ran out of steam on Deer Park to give Mark the win who had 18 points on the back nine. A special mention to Gary Hingley who for the second week running was just one shot from winning, a good score is due for him soon so lookout. In Division Two Mark Broughton had victory in his own hands, despite making triple bogey on the last two holes he held on for 36 points to take Division Two. Mark has been working hard with myself on his long game and is improving weekly, it won’t be long before he has big points haul. Could he be an outside bet for Club Championships and the nett prize?

On the course, strutting down the high-street or enjoying a well-deserved holiday; no matter what we’re doing we want to know that the sunglasses we’re wearing look great. If we can find a pair that looks the part in all of the above scenarios then even better... |
| Oakley Mercenary sunglasses |

Performance, versatility and style are a must and if you hadn’t guessed already, Oakley bring those three elements to the table with their Mercenary Prizm shades. For the course, Prizm lens technology comes to the fore to enhance colour contrasts so we can spy any course undulations with ease - especially useful on the greens. |
However, the versatility of these shades is the main USP. Its modern styling allows for a look that fits any surroundings with ease, whilst the impressive UV protection means the Mercenary is ready to tackle any beach holiday!
