Emily Price in England's Leading Junior Girl Golfer
Emily Price is England Golf's top junior golfer of 2016, having won the girls' Order of Merit.
Emily is a member of Cleobury Mortimer. She won the English women's stroke play among other titles. .
"Winning the order of merit does mean a great deal to me," said Price, 17. "It's great to know that all my hard work throughout the season has paid off. It shows me just how well I performed throughout the whole year, which is a real confidence boost and also motivation to do it again next year."
Her year got off to a fast start when she had three wins in two weeks, including the Scottish U18 championship. GCSE exams then took priority but she returned in the summer to win the women's stroke play and to represent England in the European and World Girls' Team Championships.
"Playing with other girls at such high levels is really motivational and helped me to understand what I need to do to become better," she said. "Overall this season has been brilliant and I have really enjoyed it with playing in events, travelling to different countries and playing with Team England."
Next year, Price wants "to improve on everything I have done this year. So, I would like to win more of the bigger events and improve my average score per round as I would also like to reduce my handicap to plus-4 by the end of the season." She added: "Every year I want to become a better golfer."

December Stableford
Despite some heavy rain over night Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club was once again in fantastic condition for some winter golf. Some great scores were once again recorded and as always here at Cleobury it was a different face in the winners circle.
2016 doubles knock out winner Bryan Colley showed he can do it on his own with two birdies on the last two holes to shoot 37 points and finish third. Andy Thomas fresh in his new pair of Footjoy golf boots cruised to 39 points to take second place. Last week playing partner Roger Evans won in his Footjoy boots so they must be the lucky shoes at the moment!
The day however belonged to the first player out. Ian Juckes shot a very impressive 40 points, even with a blip on his 15th hole. This was Ian's first winter win of the season and fully deserved.
Ian had the Lucky 7 package with myself, (Dave) over the season and hits it great, we worked on finding consistency, solid alignment, swing plane and course management. It is brilliant to see him getting scores like this, he is certainly one to watch going into 2017.
1st - Ian Juckes - 40 points
2nd - Andy Thomas - 39 points
3rd - Bryan Colley - 37 points
Ladies Results
The Cleobury Mortimer Ladies November Stableford Winter order of merit winner was Julie Currie who got off to a great start in what was some tricky frozen conditions, runner up was Lady Captain Heather Pringle.
The Ladies had a great turn out for the annual Turkey Trot with everyone in their best Christmas jumpers. Some great golf was played and this year was won by the Lady Captains team which was: Heather Pringle ,Gloria Bullock and Anita Tangye.
