Hello and welcome once again to another newsletter from the one and only CMGC.
As I write this the sun is blazing down. I'm not sure if the sun is tanning my cheeks or its the cold wind turning them red… either way this is Great Britain and winter golf is at its finest right now. Please don't forget to get your names down for the CMGC Christmas Party on the 10th December. It promises to be a brilliant night of: laughs, cheer and beer!
A big thank you to everyone that supported our Black Friday Sale weekend. It was a record weekend for us and I hope you grabbed a few bargains! We now have our stocking filler options available so pop into the golf centre to check them out.
The course has dried out exceptional well after Monday's crazy storm, so much so that we have had buggy's back out on Badgers Sett over the weekend. If you're looking for a fantastic winter destination CMGC ticks the boxes:

The greenkeepers were hard at work last week clearing all the leaves. This week's main task is knocking the bunkers back into shape.

It is a fantastic state of the art facility that has been added to the CMGC Portfolio.

Somehow I have managed to keep this project under wraps which, in a small town like Cleobury is quiet difficult! It was however a project I had been thinking about for a while and I feel it has huge benefits for the club. Since Cleobury opened back in 1993 it has always prided itself on being a forward thinking golf club, and this venture is just the next stage in its growth. As mentioned I have been working on this for quite some time now but have kept it under wraps as I felt it was important to launch the project when the timing was perfect.
Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club's very first golf Swing Studio uses the latest SkyTrak technology to enable simulation play. You may have seen, or even used one of these before, but this one offers…Practice routines, skills testing's, gapping sessions and the opportunity to play some of the worlds best golf courses including St Andrews and Congressional. I have set this up as I wanted to provide an area for winter coaching but additionally to enhance the facilities of the club as a whole. The project has seen a significant investment by myself as we look towards the future of CMGC.
This has been designed in a very unique way that it completely folds away, so the dance floor will stay in tack! The screen is 20% bigger than most studios as I said I wanted the biggest possible!

Christmas Golf Ideas
The following two offers have hardly been launched, yet we have seen some massive success in them.
The full membership - a full 7 day membership valid from 26th December until July 1st 2017. This is the ideal present for something looking to join a golf club, get a handicap, play in competitions and represent the club. This just over 6 month membership is available for just £300.

Roll Up Winners
A huge well done to Roger Evans who shot an incredible 43 points in the weekend roll up. Roger played some stunning golf around Badgers Sett and Foxes Run and even raised a smile after he handed his card in which is very rare for him after he plays!
Ash Cook took second place with 41 points and the inform Martin Bower finished third with 39 points.
Well played to all and this weekend we have Captain Bob Lucas's Texas Am with a special half way hit set up by Bob for all players. £5 entry including nearest the pins for the last big competition of the year.
Sunday Lunches Now Being Served!
Cleobury Mortimer golf club is proud to be launching a fantastic brand new Sunday lunch menu here at the club. Stephanie Morris from cookery magic will be on hand prepping and cooking the lunches along with George, Sally and the fantastic front of house team. The lunches will be available every Sunday, however bookings must be made in advance.

Christmas Trees
As you may have seen in the special mail that went out Monday we are once again doing Christmas trees.
They are a flat rate of £25 for any size which offers outstanding value for trees of this quality. The trees are taken off the golf course and are 100% natural. We have a selection at the club but we are also offering a pre order service if you want it by a specific date. We will be cutting on these dates:

Thursday 15th December
Please indicate which cutting date you would like your tree to be on, we will then contact you to arrange a time for collection.

Final Sweep of the year!
The annual Christmas sweep is once again here and limited to just 100 squares. Nice and simple as always, it is £3 a go or two goes for £5. Simply put your name down on an available square. The draw will be made by a special guest on Christmas Eve OR when all the squares are sold.
