Hello and welcome once again to the latest news and goings on of one of the most happening golf courses! This week has once again flown by and we are now getting ever closer to March 1st. I am happy to report that the course has dried out fantastically well with some fantastic comments coming in from the members and visitors. Fingers crossed this will continue and we can get the fairway mower out and get some nice definition going.
These pictures below were taken on Sunday and Monday.
Stuburt Model Shoot
Last Thursday team CMGC were once again asked to model for the up coming Autumn/winter 2016/2017 collection.
We have been very lucky and this was the third time in a row we have been asked. I would like to think the brand has grown at such a rapid rate because of us wearing the product!!
Local photographer Paul Elton was on hand to try and make us look good, thankfully not too much air brushing was required.
Stuburt MD Graeme and the garment designer Kate were on hand to merchandise the outfits. Graeme mentioned that the brand has continued to grow by 20% over the last twelve months and that their latest range is again their biggest ever.
The pictures will be used for the new brochure and will once again offer excellent exposure for CMGC with brochures reaching a global audience.
The big move that Stuburt hope will really see them take off is the addition of Event Membrane. This is as waterproof as gore tex but more breathable. Government agencies, royal mail and many others have now implemented this membrane into their garments for its superior quality. Stuburt are the only golf brand to have this in their products.

Grips & MOT's
It is that time of year once again to book your clubs in for their annual MOT. We have two options available one is FREE and one is £10.
BUT….. and this is where it get good, we will re-grip your 7 iron with the latest Golf Pride MCC plus 4 or CP2 wrap worth £13.99 FREE of charge.
Simply drop your clubs into the golf centre and we will MOT them within 24 hours.
It is very important to check your loft and lies every year. Golf clubs are metal heads and therefore will move over time. This means that your loft and lies could have moved and be a factor in missed shots, lack of distance and much more.
Regardless of which option you choose you get a grip worth £13.99 so it really is a no brainer to bring them in!
*FREE grip giveaway only whilst stocks last.
Details on the grip option:
The MCC PLUS 4 is a tour-proven, hybrid grip that features a larger lower hand and new softer rubber material. With a 4.6% larger lower hand diameter. The Plus4 encourages lighter grip pressure, reduced tension, and increased power. The lower hand features a soft, responsive rubber compound ideal for enhanced feel. The upper hand material is a soft compound with Brushed Cotton Cord and new, strategically placed Micro-Texture for downswing stability.
CP2 Wrap® delivers comfort and control for superior performance. Featuring Golf Pride's exclusive Control Core™ technology, a 2.5" inner core stabilizer is specifically engineered to reduce torque.
A reduced taper design allows for even grip pressure in each hand, and a soft, high-traction surface provides comfort in every swing.

Ian Dennis
As many of you know CMGC member Ian Dennis sadly passed away last year. Ian was a popular figure at CMGC and in October last year Ian's friends and family started a charity day in his memory. Thousands of pounds were raised and this fantastic bench as pictured was purchased in his memory. It is on Ian's favourite hole, the 6th of Badgers Sett..
CMGC member Alan Preece who was the driving force in the organisation had this to say.
" Morning everyone. I'm up and about early on the golf course where Ian's bench has just been delivered and put on his favourite hole the 6th on badgers at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club. As you can see it's in a great spot with fantastic views thanks to everyone who supported this day and help make this happen. Ian would be so proud. I can't thank everyone individually but massive thanks to all the staff at Cleobury for all you've done, all Ian's friends for playing in the Charity Day and everyone that donated especially James Civils for sponsoring the trophy which will be played for every year. R.I.P Ian xx"

Keith & Ken On Tour
We love seeing CMGC members on tour! Here we have Ken Sedgley and Keith Gardner who are in South Africa on their winter training program.
They are pictured on the 14th green of the Pezula Golf Club, Garden Route, South Africa, with Indian Ocean as background. (Look the course up on internet to see how amazing it is)..
